Thinklytic Inc (https://takeorder.ai/) ("Company," "we," "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of users ("you") who access TakeOrder.ai or use our services ("Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal and non-personal information, including information processed by AI/LLM technologies.

By accessing our Site or using our Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use and consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described herein.

Information Collected via Technology

AI/LLM Data Processing

Certain features of TakeOrder.ai involve processing your input using Artificial Intelligence (LLM) models. We do not sell or share this data to third parties for their own marketing purposes. Data used for AI processing is handled securely and retained only as necessary for service functionality or improvement.

Information You Provide by Creating an Account

Children's Privacy

You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in promotional emails or through your account settings. Administrative messages (e.g., policy updates, security alerts) may still be sent even if you opt out of marketing.

Our Service may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these websites. This Privacy Policy applies only to information collected through TakeOrder.ai.

VI. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be posted on the Site or sent via email 30 days prior to taking effect. Non-material updates take effect immediately. Please review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed.

VII. Merchant Tablet Application (TakeOrder.ai Tablet for Android)

This section applies specifically to merchants who install and use the TakeOrder.ai Tablet Android application on a device managed by their restaurant. It supplements the data practices described above as they apply to the merchant tablet app. End-customers placing orders with restaurants do not install or interact with this application.

Information We Collect via the Tablet App:

Order data — Items ordered, customer-supplied notes, pickup or delivery time, delivery address, and order status. This data is the property of the restaurant operating the App.
Push-notification identifier — A Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) registration token, used to deliver new-order push notifications to the tablet. It is a random identifier and is not linked to a personal identity.
Diagnostics ("heartbeat") — Battery level, network connectivity status, app version, and Wi-Fi connection state, sent periodically so the restaurant manager dashboard can show whether the tablet is online and alert the operator if it is not.
Crash logs — If the App crashes, an anonymized stack trace and basic device information are collected via Firebase Crashlytics (operated by Google) so we can diagnose and fix bugs. Crash logs do not include order contents or customer identity.
Default in-app analytics events — The App includes Firebase Analytics, which records standard events such as app open, session start, and screen view. These events are aggregated and used to understand stability and feature usage.
Wi-Fi network names (during printer setup only) — When the user opens the in-app printer setup wizard, the App lists nearby Wi-Fi network names so the user can pick the network for their thermal printer. On Android 12 and below, the operating system requires the "approximate location" permission to list network names. We do not derive, store, or transmit the user's actual location. On Android 13 and later, the App uses the privacy-friendly NEARBY_WIFI_DEVICES permission with the "neverForLocation" flag.

What the Tablet App Does NOT Collect:

No GPS or network-based geolocation
No microphone, camera, or call-log access
No photos, videos, contacts, calendars, or files
No advertising SDKs

Service Providers (Tablet App):

We share data with these processors so the App can function:

Google (Firebase Cloud Messaging, Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics) — push delivery, anonymized usage analytics, and crash diagnostics
Thinklytic Inc / TakeOrder.ai backend infrastructure — order delivery, heartbeat diagnostics, and merchant dashboard

Encryption in Transit:

All data exchanged between the Tablet App and our servers is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS). The App is configured to refuse cleartext network traffic.

Data Deletion (Tablet App):

A restaurant operator may request deletion of their merchant account and associated tablet data by emailing takeorder.ai@gmail.com or by using the account deletion option in the manager dashboard at https://app.takeorder.ai. Uninstalling the App automatically deletes the FCM registration token. We respond to deletion requests within 30 days.

Children:

The Tablet App is a B2B device app intended only for restaurant staff. It is not directed at, or intended for use by, children.
